In maritime sector studies about emissions are conductiıng on the side of EU& IMO.

As required by Regulation EU 2015/757 on the monitoring, reporting and verification of carbon dioxide emissions from maritime transport, and amending Directive 2009/16/EC is published by EU above 5000 gross tonnage within or departing from ports under the juristdiction of a Member State have to be monitored, reported and verified of CO₂ emissions.
