General Assembly

The General Assembly of Türk Loydu Foundation is convened every year in April upon the call of the Board of Directors. Except for special quorum requirements, the General Assembly decides with the majority of the delegates present at the meeting. Elections are held by secret ballot, while other votes are open ballot unless otherwise decided by the General Assembly. The General Assembly is the highest body of the foundation and consists of members and delegates. The members who will attend the General Assembly are listed below:

  • Representatives to be selected from among those employes who have been working at Turk Loydu and its subsidiaries for at least 5 years, in accordance with the regulation.Representatives to be selected by the Board of Directors of Türk Loydu from its former managers that have served for at least 10 years at Türk Loydu.

  • Representatives to be selected by the Board of Directors of Türk Loydu in representation of public and private sector Ship Lines that have provided the total Gross Tonage of 6,000 Tons and at least 3 ships for Türk Loydu.

  • Representatives to be selected by the Board of Directors of Chamber of Shipping of the Istanbul and Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Black Sea Regions representing the public and private companies group that have ships with the total gross tonnage of at least 100,000 Gross Tons in their fleet and the current Board of Directors and Board of Auditors members as natural delegates.
