Concentrated Inspection Campaigns

Concentrated inspection campaigns focus on specific areas where a higher risk of non-compliance could exist. Campaigns take place yearly over a period of 3 months (September - November) and are combined with a regular inspection. In 2024, The Port State Control Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC), conducted jointly with the Paris MoU and Tokyo MoU, will take place from September 1st to November 30th, 2024, focusing on 'Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreements under MLC'.

During this campaign, the focus will primarily be on the adequacy of seafarers' employment agreements, wage payments (regular monthly payments, compliance with employment contracts, leave pay, overtime, bonus payments, compliance in case of deductions, etc.), and adequacy of financial security (repatriation in case of death or long-term disability of seafarers, etc.), etc.
