Number Of Türk Loydu-Classed Vessels Exceeds 600
Türk Loydu has reached another important milestone in line with its international growth strategy, exceeding 600 vessels registered under its class.
Türk Loydu, which has steadily expanded its international activities in recent years, has continued to increase the number of vessels it serves through new class entries. Surpassing 600 vessels registered under class stands as an important indicator of our organization’s progress in international activities and its growing effectiveness in the global maritime industry.
Having become a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) in 2023, Türk Loydu began carrying out its activities in the international market on a broader scale following its membership. Today, our organization operates in various regions, particularly Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and provides classification, statutory certification and conformity assessment services for various vessel types in line with international rules and standards. With its experienced surveyor team, Türk Loydu continues to support the operations of shipowners and ship operators by conducting class entry surveys at ports around the world.
As of today, Türk Loydu continues its activities as a recognized organization authorized by 22 flag states, while also continuing its efforts to obtain new flag state authorizations and expand the scope of its international services.
Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan: “This Achievement Is an Indicator of Türk Loydu’s Strengthening Global Position”
Commenting on the matter, Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Türk Loydu Foundation, stated:
“The fact that the number of Türk Loydu-classed vessels has exceeded 600 is a concrete result of the growth strategy we have pursued with determination in recent years and of our technical competence. This achievement demonstrates not only quantitative growth, but also the trust placed in Türk Loydu by the national and international maritime industry.
With our membership in IACS in 2023, we reached a more visible and stronger position in the international maritime industry. Today, the preference of shipowners and ship operators operating in different regions of the world for Türk Loydu class is one of the most important indicators of our technical expertise and service quality.
We do not assess our growth solely through operational indicators. We are also developing our technical infrastructure, human resources and digital transformation capabilities with the same determination. We believe that the future of the maritime industry will be shaped by digitalization, sustainability and data-driven decision-making mechanisms. For this reason, in recent years we have made significant investments in digitalization and have made technology an integral part of the way we work in many areas, from survey processes and data management to customer experience and operational practices.
As Türk Loydu, our goal is to be a respected classification society that contributes to the development of international standards, uses technology effectively and leads the transformation of the maritime industry. I would like to thank all our colleagues who contributed to this achievement, as well as our shipowners, shipyards and business partners who have placed their trust in us.”
In the coming period, Türk Loydu will continue to provide classification and certification services in line with international standards, while expanding its international field of activity, increasing the number of vessels it serves through new class entries and offering reliable solutions to the global maritime industry.
